Exiles travel with depleted squad and suffer in every way!

On a day when so many clubs who entered the various Cups found their players not keen to be available (no, really?) and despite losing 2 players to unavoidable occurrences on the morning of the match, London Cornish still make the long trip to Aylesbury with 16 men, this after learning too late that teams can select squads of 22 in this years Cup, yet another shiite piece of comms from the RFU. Worse was to follow as Cornish lost a player to injury in the opening attack, 2 players to yellow cards as they fought to stem the tide, and then one to red (for two yellows) in the closing minutes of the match when 3 other players were already playing on when on another day they would have been replaced due to injury. The final score of 38-7 was a fair reflection of the hosts dominance on the day, and they followed that by producing the best post match meal the exiles have enjoyed all season, a decent way to bow out on 2023-24! The visitors scores on the day came via a Ryan Abraham try (yes, yes Ryan it was from er...60 metres out (well, centimetres!!) and a fine conversion into the wind from George Kimmins. No photos bar this one as our photographers were both away and no match report either as your correspondent was running on, off and around the pitch due to us being so short handed! Next stop, the Annual Dinner & Awards on May 11th!
