For the 2nd season running, the London Cornish Open Golf Tournament for the Di O'Reagh Trophy was landed by someone with strong connections to Redruth RFC as this years winner was Ben Boorman. Amidst cries of 'Bandit' and 'Stewards Enquiry' (wrong sport!) an extraordinary round saw Ben score 46 points in the Stableford played at London Scottish Golf Club on Wimbledon Common (hence the red shirts), contested by 16 players. The former Reds back is pictured 2nd from the left here receiving the trophy from last years winner, The DoR. Also pictured are Ed McCord (left), who landed the longest drive on the 16th, and Shaun Parkes (right) whose tee shot at the 9th was nearest the pin. With pre season beginning later in the month, the LCRFC Golf Society is flourishing and all that remains now is for us to get the trophy to Steve Lang so he can update the winners!
