On a day when the wind saw the one of the hosts kick offs produce an air shot and the exiles have to replace a player suffering with hypothermia early in the 2nd half, it was nothing short of minor miracle that Eastbourne and Cornish played a match at all in Counties 1 Surrey/Sussex on Saturday. The exiles make a horlicks of playing with the conditions in their favour in the 1st half turning round 7-5 down, eventually succumbing to a 26-12 defeat. The scores came via tries by Mike Edworthy and Jimmy New (pictured on the rampage) with the former also adding a conversion. The 2s also slip to defeat going down by 40-10 at home to London New Zealand Kiwis in the MMT Prem on a tough afternoon for the club. 1s photos to follow once we have all thawed and dried out!
