Cornish Comeback Just in Vain!

5 try comeback in 17 try thriller sees Exiles end up 1 point short!

London Cornish produced a withering 5 try last quarter comeback from 26-49 down to lead 55-49 with just 3 minutes remaining, only for visitors Eastbourne to snatch victory and with it 5th place in Counties 1 Surrey/Sussex in another thriller at the REMPF on Saturday - kudos must go to the visitors kicker who nailed all 7 conversions on the day (plus one penalty try). The Cornish back 3 had a field day, with former Redruth back Ben Boorman (seen crossing for one in this try fest) scoring 4 tries and Penzance's own Charlie Lambert landing 3, snatching top try scorer in the process from wing George Bromage who scored once, Skip Fin Tweedie also scoring a superb individual try. Fly Half Mike Edworthy lands 3 conversions and Ciaran Johnston 2 as the exiles actually outscored their visitors by 9 tries to 8 in this 17 try thriller! Gaynor's last photos of the season will follow later in the week.
