London Cornish fell to a 30-17 defeat at the hands of a vastly improved Old Wimbledonians at their Coombe Lane HQ in Counties 1 Surrey/Sussex on Saturday, the exiles failing to take advantage of a very strong wind at their backs in the opening stanza and turning round at 10-10 in filthy conditions throughout. The visitors points came via tries by Skip Fin Tweedie (seen diving over for his try) and Conor Pearce, while Ciaran Johnston added 2 conversions and a penalty. Jimmy New saw the 2s open their account for the season with a 22-21 win over Old Wimbledonians 2s in a friendly at the REMPF, the 2s having landed a walkover v Old Cats 2s in the Surrey Alliance. Photos of the 1s game to follow now Andy has thawed out and let go of the camera for Gaynor to download the shots!!!
