London Cornish went down by 28-39 to Trinity at the REMPF in Counties 1 Surrey/Sussex on Saturday, 3 of the visitors tries coming when the home side were on the attack inside their 22 only to ship the ball and see it run all the way to the house. Though a late rally saw the exiles land a try bonus point, the break week may come at a good time for Cornish, the scores on the day coming via George Bromage, Alex Blanco, Kalib Falconer and Theo Weatherall. Bromage added a penalty and Will Sanderson a conversion and a penalty on a day when a minutes silence was beautifully observed (pictured) in Terry's Corner in honour of Terry Kite, who died recently. The 2s go down to a narrow defeat at Old Wimbledonians Rams by 27-22 in the Surrey Alliance in a strongly contested match at Coombe Lane, Jimmy News charges once again demonstrating that they are competitive in this league. Pictures from the 1s game to follow later on Sunday.
