London Cornish produced an 8 try performance to see off newly promoted Old Hamptonians in an entertaining game at the REMPF on Saturday, the win lifting the home side to 4th in the fledgling Keith Prowse Counties 1 Surrey/Sussex table. The exiles points came courtesy of tries by Skipper Fin Tweedie, Ben Boorman, Stefan Van Breda (2), George Bromage, Will Spring and Tristan Lambert (2), the Penzance man scoring with his first touch in a match this season (pictured) after a steadily managed return from long term injury. Bromage added 5 conversions and a penalty to land a personal haul of 18 points on the day. The 2s returned to action in the Surrey Alliance, Jimmy News charges going down to 2 2nd half tries by 19-7 at league leaders Battersea Ironsides, a performance that augurs well for the rest of the season. 1s photos to follow shortly.
