Edworthy Back for 1s as 2s Prep for an International!

Back to back Player of the Year returns to the fray!

Mike Edworthy (seen at ko in the win over Trinity), the reigning and back to back Player of the Year, returns to action for London Cornish on Saturday, having been injured in the warm up at Cobham, then having to bravely play through the match as his would be replacement was injured in the opening minutes of that same game! Free scoring wing Matt Hakes also returns to the fray after last featuring in the win over Trinity, and there is also a long awaited return from serious injury for prop Matt Hand, injured in March at KCS. Having worked his way back to fitness following an operation, he had a pipe opener for the 2s last weekend and takes his place on the bench for the 1s. The 2s head to London Japanese in the MMT Div 1 for what is the first ever fixture between the 2 clubs. The International sees Cornish field a young side with 10 players born this century, which augurs well for the future! You can follow 1s score updates on our X feed while a round up of the action will land over the weekend.
