A combination of factors saw London Cornish slip to a rare home defeat by a single point in Counties 1 Surrey/Sussex as perennial visitors Old Reigatians snatched the win when a late chip thru bounced straight into the arms of one of their backs to put him over under the posts, the conversion taking his side to a 20-21 lead they managed to maintain for the remaining few minutes. Cornish will rue scoring 4 tries but not landing any kicks, the scores coming from George Bromage, Theo Weatherall, Will Spring and Pete Brogden, the last 3 in a 15 minute purple patch in the 2nd half. In truth, Cornish were not on their best on this occasion and will need to step up their performance in the couple of matches up the break week. The 2s landed a walkover at KCS 2s in the Surrey Alliance.
