No death of a former player at LCRFC is ever pleasant to report, but this is especially tough as it relates to the sudden and unexpected passing from a heart attack of Tom Rooke, who played for the 1s and 2s in the mid noughties. A popular and talented back, Tom also had a very successful professional career as a CFO. A memorial service was held in Petersfield on 17th December 2025 and the club was well represented at this event. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tom's wife Emma and his two children Josh & Olly. There are few words that can bring sense to this save to say that Rookie had a positive impact on everyone he met and the only reason I took a while to report this is that it has been so hard to write.
