Exiles load coaching team with young talent!

London Cornish is delighted to confirm the following Coaching Team for the 2022-23 season:

HEAD COACH - Paul Spivey
2s/DEFENCE COACH - Cameron Crozier
FORWARDS COACH - Matas Jurevicius
BACKS COACH - Max Bodilly
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH - Nick Rees

- Spives took on the role half-way through last season and has quickly established himself as a thoughtful and inspirational Head Coach. He will now have the help he needs to take the playing side forwards.

- Cam returns to the fold having recovered sufficiently from a playing ending injury suffered a few seasons back and brings his experience of playing for both Glasgow Hawks and in France to the club.

- Matas, plying his trade in the Prem with Harlequins, takes on his first coaching role and will bring a new level of innovation to our pack. Aiming to break into the Quins line up on a regular basis this season,

- Max (pictured), who will be best known to our supporters, is Cornish born and bred. A former Redruth, Cornish Pirates and Exeter Chiefs player, he now plays at Championship Champs Ealing Trailfinders. A Level 2 Qualified Coach, he has formerly coached at both Honiton RFC and North Petherton RFC.

- Nick is a hugely experienced S&C coach who has worked with Spives before and is the clubs first ever appointment in this role, and we hope he will better prepare us for the physicality of the new season.

Max adds "I am proud to have taken on the role of Backs Coach with London Cornish for the upcoming season. Having spoken with Dickon and Paul, I can tell the club is full of good people, and being Cornish myself, the role caught my eye straight away. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in soon and contributing to a successful season!"

The DoR comments "I am delighted with the coaching team we have put together in a relatively short space of time and now we can focus on building out the playing side in time for the new season. There has never been a better time to join/rejoin the club, and I would implore those lads tinkering with the idea to reach out to me on dmoon@stpirran.com so I can give them more reasons why!"
